Sonia Roselli Skin Prep Review!

Winter is in full swing and my skin is really feeling the effects.  I found a product line a while back and I use it religiously; on myself and my clients.  In fact, I no longer use face primer AT ALL while I’m doing makeup!  It is the Sonia Roselli Skin Prep.  I use this every morning and my skin is so much healthier.  I had this crazy dry patch on my chin and it’s totally under control now.  Sonia’s Holy Grail is the Water Balm.  I’m serious, if you don’t try anything else, you NEED to try the Water Balm!  But I’ll go through everything for you.

Sexapeel Instant Exfoliation Spray:

What It Is:  This is an easy to use spray that exfoliates the top layer of your skin from head to toe.

What It Does:  It instantly exfoliates your face and body with a quick sweep of the hands.

How To Use:  Spray 6 inches from your skin, but keep it out of your mouth and eyes.  Use a back and forth motion on the skin until the product and skin start to slough off.  Then rinse.  If you have trouble removing this from your little baby facial hairs, cleanse your face with Japanese Cleansing Oil or simply let it dry then wipe with a dry towel.  Use it no more than twice per week or once per week if you have sensitive skin.  If you feel your skin starting to burn, discontinue use.

Water Elixir Skin Prep:

What It Is:  This is a light liquid, watery moisturizer and toner that helps extremely dry skin.

What It Does: It helps relieve dehydration, dryness, redness and undernourishment of your skin.

How to Use: Shake then apply 2-3 pumps to clean hands.  Press your hands together and gently press into your face and neck.  Gentle enough to use daily; morning and night.

Artist Tip: Mix with some cream blush to make a gorgeous gel cheek stain.

Water Oil Skin Prep:

What It Is: It’s a lightweight, dual phase facial oil that’s not only lubricating but hydrating.

What It Does: Your skin needs hydration (water) and lubrication (oil) to be balanced and have a healthy glow.  Water Oil combines oil and water to create the most amazing facial oil you will ever use!

How to Use: Add one pump to your finger tips and press together.  Then press into your skin.  If you have dry or combination skin, use it morning and night.  If you have oily skin, use before bed.  Be sure to swipe some Water Oil over your lips.  You can thank me later.

Artist Tip:  Do you like a dewy-look?  Mix Water Oil with your foundation and watch your skin glow!  Or mix with your favorite lipstick to make a sheer lip stain.

Water Balm:

What It Is:  It is a five in one multi-purpose crème that your skin will thank you for.  Water Balm is a moisturizer, toner/serum, day cream, night cream and makeup primer all in one.  It will save you time and hassle, not to mention all the extra money when you stop buying all the other stuff!

What It Does:  It plums fine lines, smooths skin and reduces the appearance of pores.

How To Use: In the morning, place a nickel size amount on the tips of your fingers.  Tap together and lightly tap all over your face, then rub in evenly.  Let sit for 5-10 minutes before applying makeup.  At night, clean your makeup off with Japanese Cleansing Oil, rinse well and then apply Water Elixir (and Water Oil, if needed).  Apply Eye Cream then Water Balm as your final step.

Artist Tip:  Mix with your favorite foundation to make it more sheer.

Japanese Cleansing Oil:

What It Is:  A makeup remover and facial cleanser in one.

What It Does:  This will cleanse your face in one easy step.  It won’t strip your skin and will help maintain your skins delicate barrier.

How to Use: Shake the bottle and dispense 3-4 pumps into the palms of your hand and massage gently onto your face.  It will dissolve away all dirt, sunscreen and makeup.  Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.  Safe to use morning and night.
